Description: Winter annual. Small blue four-petaled flowers can be found in spring. It grows well in not too heavy soil and reproduces by seed. Plants are low growing with hairy, opposite leaves with rounded teeth along the edge. Leaves on found on taller stems have an alternate orientation. The leaves near the flowers are much more narrow.
Native to Africa, Asia and Europe.1
Pest/Disease & Gardening Limitations: Not a troublesome weed due to central root system, rosette structure. Does not heavily reseed. 1
